چکیده
In recent decades, intensive crop management has involved excessive use of pesticides or fertilizers, compromising environmental integrity and public health. Accordingly, there been worldwide pressure to find an eco-friendly safe strategy ensure agricultural productivity. Among alternative approaches, Plant Growth-Promoting (PGP) rhizobacteria are receiving increasing attention as suitable biocontrol agents against pests. the present study, 22 spore-forming bacteria were selected among a salt-pan collection for their PGP traits antagonistic activity plant pathogen fungus Macrophomina phaseolina. Based on higher antifungal activity, strain RHFS10, identified Bacillus vallismortis, was further examined cell-free supernatant assays, column purification, tandem mass spectrometry employed purify preliminarily identify metabolites. Interestingly, minimum inhibitory concentration assessed fractions active M. phaseolina 10 times lower more stable than one estimated commercial fungicide pentachloronitrobenzene. These results suggest B. vallismortis RHFS10 potential growth-promoting chemical efficiently control phytopathogenic

Diversity of propanil-degrading bacteria isolated from rice rhizosphere and their potential for plant growth promotion.
The herbicide propanil has long been used in rice production in southern Brazil. Bacteria isolated from contaminated soils in Massaranduba, Santa Catarina, Brazil, were found to be able to grow in the presence of propanil, using this compound as a carbon source. Thirty strains were identified as Pseudomonas (86.7%), Serratia (10.0%), and Acinetobacter (3.3%), based on phylogenetic analysis ...
متن کاملPlant growth-promoting traits of biocontrol potential bacteria isolated from rice rhizosphere
Seven isolates of bacteria (SRI-156, SRI-158, SRI-178, SRI-211, SRI-229, SRI-305 and SRI-360) were earlier reported by us as having potential for biocontrol of charcoal rot of sorghum and plant growth promotion (PGP) of the plant. In the present study, the seven isolates were characterized for their physiological traits (tolerance to salinity, pH, temperature and resistance to antibiotics and f...

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are advantageous bacteria that inhabit around plant roots and enhance plant growth by a wide variety of direct and indirect mechanisms. Utilization of PGPR is now gradually increasing in agriculture and offers an attractive way to replace chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and supplements. In our present study six endospore forming bacterial isolates t...
متن کاملThe biocontrol potential of Pseudomonas fluorescens against Macrophomina phaseolina and estimating the total phenol compounds of bean roots
Charcoal rot caused by Macrophomina phaseolina is one of the most important soil borne diseases with a broad host range including bean, which annually brings a significant damage to this plant. Biological control of charcoal rot is very important because its chemical control harms the environment, microflora and soil fertility. Chemical control of charcoal rot is also difficult and sometimes in...
متن کاملBiocontrol potential of Trichoderma Sp. against plant pathogens
Forty two strains of Trichoderma sp. were isolated from cultivated lands around Bangalore and analyzed for their antagonistic potential against Sclerotium rolfsii and Fusarium ciceri. The potential of biocontrol agents ultimately lies in their capacity to control pathogens in vivo. Bioefficacy studies were hence conducted using chickpea (Cicer argentums c.v. Annigeri) as an experimental plant b...
